What are the Configuration Elements in the Prep Tool?

The Prep Tool is useful for preparing data (and organizing the data into one or more Tables).

There are four tabs available:

  1. Field(s) - Used to select options about the Field(s), the order displayed, the Format(s), and the various views of the data displayed in the Table.
  2. Filter(s) - Used to narrow down the data to fine tune what is displayed in the Table.
  3. Sort(s) - Used to select how the data gets organized in the column(s) of the Table.
  4. Save(s) - Used to Run, Edit, or Delete your saved Table(s), and revisit them as needed.

1. Field(s) Tab

Used to select options about the Field(s), the order displayed, the Format(s), and the various views of the data displayed in the Table.

  1. Add a Field to the View.
  2. Add all Field(s) to the View.
  3. Remove all Field(s) from the View.
  4. An example of a specific Field in the View.
  5. Hide the visibility of a Field.
  6. Apply a Format to the Field.
  7. Apply a View to the Field.
  8. Remove the Field.

2. Filter(s) Tab

Used to narrow down the data to fine-tune what is displayed in the Table.

  1. Filter on Original Data.
  2. Filter on Prepped Data.
  3. Add Filter Group(s).
  4. Add Filter.
  5. Or/And Toggle.
  6. Clear Filter(s).

Notice that you can Expand/Minimize both options: Filter on Original Data or Filter on Prepped Data.

3. Sort(s) Tab

Used to select how the data gets organized in the column(s) of the Table.

  1. Add a Field to Sort.
  2. Add Default Sort(s).
  3. Remove All Sort(s).
  4. A Sort.
  5. Move the order of a Sort.
  6. Ascending/Descending toggle.
  7. Delete Sort.

4. Save(s) Tab

Used to Run, Edit, or Delete your saved Table(s), and revisit them as needed.

  1. Search Saves.
  2. Show Default Save.
  3. Refresh Save(s).
  4. A Saved View.
  5. Run a Saved View.
  6. Edit a Saved View.
  7. Delete View.
